Amy sensei has developed a unique, child centered approach to ease learning Japanese and she is known for her kind and humorous approach with her students. Amy hopes children will develop positive feelings in association to learning Japanese which she thinks is especially critical when first learning. Through songs, hands-on games, skits, origami, kawaii drawing, calligraphy, puppets, and stories, children will begin to acquire skills in speaking, writing, and reading in Japanese. Content shared builds in a spiral using visuals and the TPR method of teaching language or vocabulary concepts by using physical movement to react to verbal input. She currently shares her approach with hundreds of children living all around the world and she has received more than 300 five star reviews! When Amy sensei is not teaching, she loves spending time with her family, hiking, gardening, traveling, baking, and singing with her choir. She is looking forward to being a part of your child's journey.
